System of Elections to Lok Sabha

Elections to the Lok Sabha are conducted on the basis of the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system in single-member constituencies. Under Article 81, members of the House are elected directly by adult citizens. The Election Commission of India oversees the process to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections.
